Market Outlook

The 2026 outlook is focused on "Multi-Domain Operations." The IAF is rapidly integrating space assets and cyber-warfare units, creating a niche for "Space-Warriors." The Agnipath scheme has matured, with the first batches now eligible for the 25% permanent absorption, making it a highly competitive and rewarding short-term or long-term career.

Individuals with a fascination for aerospace technology and high-speed aviation.

Those possessing high Officer Like Qualities (OLQs): spatial awareness, mental agility, and grit.

Candidates who are physically robust and meet strict vision/medical standards.

Tech-savvy youth who want to work with AI-integrated weapon systems and radars.

Patriotic spirits who value a regimental lifestyle, honor, and extreme adventure.

Who Should Pursue This?

Eligibility & Requirements

Officer Entry (NDA): 10+2 with Physics & Maths (16.5–19.5 years).

Officer Entry (AFCAT/CDS): Graduation (any stream for Admin/Logistics; Engineering for Technical; Maths/Physics at 12th for Flying). Age 20–24 (Flying) or 20–26 (Ground Duty).

Agniveer Vayu: 10+2 with PCM (Science) or any stream (Non-Science). Age 17.5–21 years.
