Indian Institute of Technology Ropar is a premier public technical university under the Ministry of Education, fostering a culture of innovation and research in Punjab.
Established in 2008, IIT Ropar operates from its permanent 525-acre campus on the banks of the Sutlej River. Ranked 22nd in NIRF 2024 (Engineering), the institute is famous for its entrance gate inspired by the Indus Valley Civilization.
