Established in 2001 by the Somaiya Trust, the K. J. Somaiya Institute of Technology (KJSIT) is the second engineering college of the trust, specifically focused on Information Technology and allied branches.
The institute is located on an 85-acre lush green medical campus (Ayurvihar) in Sion, sharing space with the Somaiya Medical College and Hospital. KJSIT holds a NAAC 'A' grade and was granted academic autonomy in 2021.
