Established in 1947 by late Shri Dhondumama Sathe as "New Engineering College," Walchand College of Engineering (WCE) is one of India's oldest and most respected technical institutions.
The institute is spread across a sprawling 90-acre lush green campus in Vishrambag, Sangli. WCE holds a NAAC 'A' grade and was one of the first colleges in Maharashtra to be granted academic autonomy in 2007.
