1. Understanding the 2026 Cut-offs

The qualifying percentile for JEE Advanced has seen a slight upward trend this year due to the increased pool of candidates. If your percentile is above the following thresholds, you are eligible to register for the JEE Advanced 2026 exam next week.

  • General (UR): 91.5 - 92.1

  • EWS: 77.2 - 78.5

  • OBC-NCL: 75.1 - 76.4

  • SC: 52.8 - 54.0

  • ST: 38.5 - 39.8

2. How to Download Your Scorecard

To avoid technical glitches on the heavy-traffic servers, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the official NTA JEE portal.

  2. Click on the link "JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Scorecard".

  3. Log in with your credentials.

  4. Your NTA Score (Session 1 & 2), the best of the two scores, and your AIR will be displayed.

  5. Important: Download the PDF and save multiple copies, as this document is mandatory for JoSAA counseling.

3. What’s Next: JEE Advanced & JoSAA

For those who have qualified, the battle isn't over. Registration for JEE Advanced 2026 begins on April 27. For others, the focus now shifts to the JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) counseling, which is expected to begin in the second week of June.

Ensure your category certificates (EWS/OBC-NCL/SC/ST) are updated and issued after April 1, 2026, to avoid any disqualification during the document verification stage.

4. FAQs: Solving Common Result Doubts

Q1. My rank is lower than expected despite a good percentile. Why?

Ans: Ranks are calculated based on the total number of unique candidates across both sessions. This year, the high number of applicants (12.5 lakh+) means a 99 percentile still translates to a rank of roughly 12,500.

Q2. Can I apply for re-evaluation of my JEE score?

Ans: No. As per NTA guidelines, there is no provision for re-evaluation or re-checking of the scores once the final results are declared.

Q3. Where can I find the list of toppers?

Ans: NTA releases the state-wise and category-wise toppers list in a formal press release on their official portal alongside the result link.

Conclusion

Whether you have secured your dream rank or are looking at alternate options, remember that jee main is just one gateway. With the results now out, the time for speculation is over—it's time to plan your counseling strategy.
