JEE Main 2026: Session 2 Scorecards and All India Ranks are Out!

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially culminated the world’s largest engineering entrance cycle by releasing the JEE Main 2026 Result for Session 2 today, April 20, 2026. This release is the final word for over 12.5 lakh unique aspirants, as it includes the All India Ranks (AIR) and the qualifying cut-offs required for JEE Advanced.


Key Statistics of the 2026 Cycle

The competition this year has been historic, with a record number of unique candidates leading to a tighter percentile-to-rank ratio.

  • Total Candidates: 12.52 Lakh+ unique students across both sessions.

  • 100 Percentilers: 56 students have secured a perfect NTA score (Paper 1).

  • Qualified for Advanced: Approximately 2.5 lakh candidates have cleared the benchmark for JEE Advanced 2026.

What’s Next for Students?

  1. JEE Advanced Registration: For those who qualified, registration for the Advanced exam begins on April 27, 2026.


  2. JoSAA Counseling: The Joint Seat Allocation Authority will begin the seat matrix and registration process for IITs, NITs, and IIITs in the second week of June.


  3. No Re-evaluation: NTA has reiterated that these results are final; there is no provision for re-checking or re-valuation of scorecards once the ranks are declared.

Q1. Where can I find the official result link?

Ans: You can download your scorecard at jeemain.nta.nic.in or examinationservices.nic.in using your Application Number and Date of Birth.

Q2. My Session 1 score was higher. Which will be used for my AIR?

Ans: NTA uses your "Best of the Two" scores across Session 1 and Session 2 to determine your final All India Rank.

Q3. Is the Paper 2 (B.Arch/B.Planning) result also out?

Ans: No. Today's release is primarily for Paper 1 (BE/B.Tech). Paper 2 results are expected to be released in the first week of May 2026.
